Duwamish Alive is a coalition of nonprofit groups and government agencies dedicated to improving the health of the Duwamish River for the people and wildlife that share it. Since the spring of 2006, Duwamish Alive has brought together over thousands of volunteers for semi-annual work parties to steward restoration sites designed to provide fish and wildlife habitat, improve water quality, and expand open space recreational opportunities in the Duwamish River Watershed. The Duwamish Alive Coalition meets monthly throughout the year for ongoing planning and cooperation around the Duwamish Alive events and other activities.
